Goal

I creating this blog to help myself get more organized as a person, teacher and life long learner.  The majority of this blog will be focused on Math teaching but there will be a sprinkling of real life to balance it. As teachers we often sacrifice self care, cleaning our homes, cooking, and family time, because teaching is basically 3 full time jobs with the pay of 2/3. 

I've been teaching for 4 years and have been astounded that "curriculum" designers don't include the following.

• Activities
• Differentiated activities
• Cloze notes
• Card sorts
• Mazes
• Extensions
• Real life applications
• Write about it
• Find the mistakes 
• ETC.  

We live in a world where each year the demands on teachers increase...if only the pay kept pace ;)

I feel that Curriculum designers need to keep up with the demands and help us meet the demands instead of giving us the same tired books year after year.  We need enrichment activities, clozed notes, differentiated activities, hands on examples, real life applications etc.  So until they catch up this is where I'm sharing my crazy hard work.  If I created the materials myself I share them for free if I found it there will be links.
